Glasgow Thistles
Bold, competitive, and proudly Scottish — shaping the future of women's ice hockey one shift at a time.
The Glasgow Thistles are a women's ice hockey team established in 2025 and based in Glasgow, Scotland. Driven by a mission to grow the women's game, the Thistles stand for passion, determination and accessibility.
Named after Scotland's iconic national flower, the Thistle symbolises resilience and strength — qualities that define the team both on and off the ice. The team competes in the SIH Women's Section and is striving to move the standard of women's ice hockey forward in Scotland.
Through training sessions, exhibition games, development opportunities, and showcase events such as HER3v3, the club is helping create new pathways for women and girls to discover the sport and compete at a high level.
Bold, competitive, and proudly Scottish.
